Culinary: Dinner @ Kødbyens Fiskebar – 2014

Another year and another chance to repeat the exquisite meal that was had at the Fishbar in Copenhagen’s meat-packing district. The food was incredible and, like last year’s note, I ordered more oysters and spent the money there versus other plates. The norweigen oysters were exquisite with a huge olive oil, unami and graham cracker taste wight the met oily long-lasting mouthfeel creaminess that I’ve ever had from oysters.

This meal was probably the highlight of my year. These guys know what’s up. Service was still lacking with every waiter having a deer in the headlights look with confusion, loud noises and chaos but the food was outstanding. I’ll return again if I’m ever back in Copenhagen.

The Norweigan oysters (front) were our favorite by far. They were huge!

Scallop chips made fresh are shaved scallops heated until they’re hard. They melt in your mouth.
