★ Travel: A Day at Hill Farmstead

Last week, I started what I hope is a year-long adventure around New England joining brewers in their natural habitat to photograph their craft. I started with the brewer that I have the best relationship so far, Shaun Hill of Hill Farmstead. I’ve reached out to other Vermont breweries and hope to expand this series in the coming months.

I’m happy with these photos but admit there are some shortcomings. I’m shy as a photographer even when someone accepts me as a guest, I try to stay out of their way so the pictures that follow are very flat. It’s something I’ll improve as experience grows.

Also, I hope to return to Hill Farmstead after their expansion is complete to take more shots. The plans and vision are very promising.

  1. Nice pics Adam. What is the pic of the barrel being sprayed? Any insight on how do they “clean” and condition the barrels at Hill Farmstead? Cheers!
