★ Justin Bieber Does Not Deserve to Die

Justin Bieber has sold more records than most people will in their lifetime and he’s only 16. I did some research before writing this post and I’ve determined that the kid has talent and the marketing engine keeps  him busy and making money. He can play real instruments and can still sing pretty well despite the changing voice that comes with growing older. He’s a good natured and kind individual who is leading a positive example for young kids and he sings more about love and respect for women than anything else. His interactions with fans are kind and I’ve seen him do some pretty great things with his fame.

Yet, still the hate continues against this young guy.

Maybe it’s that this is 2011, but I didn’t see such hate for previous pop stars like Britney or the Backstreet Boys. It was understood that they lacked talent to even be able to play instruments and relied on autotune far too much but I didn’t see too many “Britney Spears must die” videos back in the day. I think we can all agree it’s far too easy to make videos and put them on YouTube these days.

The ideas and hate that a boy who is not even 17 is gay is really beside the point. The fact that Google searches for Justin Bieber Gay almost surpass searches for the kid’s name all by itself. America’s excitement in a young boy being attracted to those of the same sex is pretty disgusting. So what? I don’t care and why do you?

Then, there are these videos animating Justin’s hair catching on fire or him being run over by trains and 5 ways to kill Justin Bieber. It’s remarkable how much time we’ve spent telling the world everything that’s wrong with a boy who is doing what he loves and making money

Crabs in a bucket, “if I can’t have it, neither can you.” I’m not insinuating that people producing Justin Bieber is Gay videos are wishing secretly that they were Justin Bieber but the effort spent making fun of a kid that’s working his ass off only proves that you wish for similar success and are jealous of his fame.

Having researched Justin Bieber as a person to see if I think he’s an acceptable role model for my sisters, it’s pretty obvious that he’s a charitable, giving, talented and kind person that may or may not be gay. I don’t care but he’s not shaking his butt on stage like Britney or posing nude like Miley or doing drugs or throwing wild parties or endorsing products that hurt our kids. He’s a fairly damn good role model for 2011 and I think he should keep doing what he’s doing.

Wishing him dead and spending countless hours photoshopping photos of him committing homosexual acts has to stop. It’s detrimental to our society and only leading our young people to hate those who they’re jealous of or don’t understand. Besides, remember those 80s hair bands? I’m pretty sure those guys were an idol to you and their hair took far more time to put together than Justin Bieber’s

  1. I don’t hate him or wish him dead, but I don’t think he’s that good or deserving of all that attention. There are plenty of kids who are much more talented, much better singers who don’t need to rely on Autotune, and actually play instruments. They just weren’t noticed by the right people.

    1. Sure, but the same issue is in iOS development. How many times do good developers get looked over simply by chance or luck. There will always be someone more talented than who is hot right now. Just, as a person and compared to some other artists that the kids could look up to, I think he’s a pretty good choice.
