I just got back from Chicago. I have a draft for two more posts. The first is an in-depth look at the process and reviews of all 2013 Bourbon County Variants and the second is a detailing of the trip I took to Chicago with my friend Chris. I’ll get those out to you all some time this week. For now, here’s a few things I grabbed in my travels.
I’ll add briefly here that I met over a dozen people on this trip that read my blog. Some people emailed me asking to meet up and others just recognized me. Wow. This stupid dinky-dink blog about beer and you all are so nice and supportive and seem to like what I post here. Thanks for saying hello. It made the trip a lot more fun!
Two Cases of BCS. Paid between $19 & $25 a 4-Pack
Bourbon County barleywine and the new Spiegelau BCS Tasters
BCS 05, 07, 08 and 09 + BCS 2010 Coffee from trades. This year’s BCS Variants – 2013BCS Coffee & the Coffee that was used to make it.Some of these are for a friend. I was very happy to locate an ’06 Mondavi Cabernet Reserve. I haven’t seen their private reserve in a very long time. Paid $125 which I think is high but it’s one of my favorite cabs. Was very happy to see Jefferson’s (JSP) 25 in the rarities section of Binny’s in Chicago. The case of Thomas Handy was awesome but I’m looking to trade them 1:1 for Eagle Rare 17, William Weller OR another BTAC. I don’t like Sazerac THIS much.
