A year with Apple’s 5K iMac: Still the best Mac for your money:
I love my 2016 5K iMac. It’s the top of the line model in every way except I opted for a 3 Terabyte Fusion Drive which is a decision I still regret because the SSD in my MacBook Pro runs circles around it. While my Core i9 MacBook Pro is faster than the iMac day to day mostly due to the faster RAM and SSD, the 5K iMac’s Core i7 4Ghz CPU + Radeon GPU make Final Cut Pro editing much nicer than on the MacBook in addition to the beautiful 4K display. I still edit on the iMac over the MacBook Pro and that’s impressive considering how fast the MacBook Pro is.
