Small bottle from my friends in QC. Enjoyed at 40F in my Peche Mortel glass. Pours oily black with a thick 5 finger espresso head that fades slowly leaving behind thick lacing. Oh my. That aroma. Standard Peche aromas of coffee, chocolate, espresso, vanilla. Then you get a boozy brown sugar, brandy and Christmas spice aroma. Taste is great. There’s an oily mouthfeel that’s thick and dense and almost like a watered down fudge. The middle and finish have a very distinct brandy flavor but honestly I get a lot more oak than I was expecting. Coffee is faded. Most of the flavors are refined and even subdued. Unsweetened chocolate and liquor and oak are the biggest elements
