So who are iPods for? They’re for people who don’t have a smartphone, and that’s about it.
They’re actually for people who have a ton of music, don’t want to stream music and pay high mobile phone bills and don’t want to be tied to one device when the battery dies. Last time I went on a 5 day camping trip, we had a speaker with an auxiliary in jack and an extra set of D batteries. Everyone’s iPhone / Android phone died on day #2. My iPod Classic played music all weekend on shuffle.
I had 22 thousand songs on me with a battery that lasts a week. Welcome to 2008, everyone.
