I find tweets too reductionist and Medium pieces too bloviating, so I came to the same conclusion Andy did on mid-length writing. His post reminded me of a working draft I started awhile back called “New rules for blogging.”

Love it. More rules on blogging. I’d do my own but then I’d just break them but these are very inspirational and I’d say the past 4 weeks has been awesome. There are a lot of writers out there coming back to blogging. I admit long-form pieces haven’t been my strong-suit lately but I keep my 2 blogs alive nevertheless.

Anyone can join WordPress.com Or Medium and write something down. I think in 2015, I’m finally going to redesign my entire site with a full overhaul. Remove over-design, remove a lot of static buttons and images and simplify the space into two inter-linked sites that focus on text and perhaps one where I post a photo every day in a very high resolution (1600×1200 minimum). It’ll take some money but well worth the endeavor.

I shouldn’t blame my unhappiness on this blog’s design issues for my lackluster writing schedule but I’m just not happy with it. Ideas are still flowing though and that’s a good thing.
