Thank you to Tim for the gift. Drink by 15.11.13 on the green cap. Enjoyed at 50 F in a stemmed wine glass.
A – Poured a bright blond into the glass but I was not conscious of the yeast sediment which clouded things up a bit. 3 finger pillow top fluffy head that faded slowly to a single finger with nice lacing.
S – Nose is very yeasty with a hint of honey and floral aromas. A certain spiciness as well.
T – Wow. This is an impressive blond. Yeast and bread notes dominate followed by a root like taste of spice and hearty potatoes. Sweet and dry finish. There are some raisins and cloves along the middle with some coriander and hoppy bitternesss of ruby red grapefruit.
M – Medium body with a nice carbonation on the mouth swish. Doesn’t stick around too long.
O – Drinks closer to a saison than a Blonde ale
