Acquired this in a trade in February. Enjoyed with friends at cellar temp (60F) in a big red wine glass. 2011 vintage.

A – Poured a viscous thick black appearance. 2 finger totally espresso crema colored head. This head has decent lacing, nice alcohol legs and fades way faster than expected.

S – Bit of a smokey scent. Hints of black peppercorn and vanilla. Some espresso bean characters as well.

T – A lot spicier than expected but very delicious. Lots of vanilla, burnt / charred oak. Spicy up front and at the end. The middle is sweet, smooth and delicious. Some raisin and cherry characters.

M – Medium carbonation, very heavy body.

O – This was delicious and very drinkable. I expected a lot more spice but this was solid and very drinkable.
