★ Siegler Holds a White iPhone

TechCrunch:

Tonight I was at dinner with a couple of friends when something caught my eye. I cut into our conversation. “Look at the table next to ours. Is that the white iPhone?” Both of my friends, geeks like me, got excited. Yep.

Also:

I tried to subtlety take a couple pictures with my own iPhone. A black one. But we were just out of range and the restaurant was just a little too dark to get a good shot. Then one of my friends abruptly stood up and walked over to the man with the mythical device.

This is the same Siegler that claims, “Point & Shoot cameras are dying”

You know, those photos would have been a hell of a lot better & more juicy if you only had that ultra-thin Canon S95 that sits at your desk at home gathering dust. It fits in your front pocket. Instead, millions of TechCrunch readers get some shitty blurry pic from a restaurant because “The point & shoot is too big and not connected”

My fight for real dedicated cameras aside, I’m bitter that this article received 575 shares on Twitter and a few thousand page views. Why?

I wrote the same article 8 months ago.

Then again, I’m not a TechCrunch writer
