★ The Only Constant Is Change

Moon w/ Circle around it

This photo was taken while I was in Florida. I looked up while out with friends and saw the moon through light cloud cover, there was a glowing ring around it and remnants of a plane that has just soared past.

You all may have noticed a difference in my blog posts lately. I’m taking a different approach but don’t worry, my standard Über techie content will be back soon enough. This song, written by my friend, Brian Transeau (AKA BT) certainly captures a few things about where I am right now. These lyrics can be applied to we as the human race, all living creatures or a micro level where two people who are in love and how change is inevitable yet some things never change. The lyrics are beautiful and thoughtful with a lot of personal reflection and how we are still just specks in the universe.

First, we are
explicably where we are
Chaste and burned
we’re comfortably lovless

In a trillion years,
the stars will no longer shine
But we’ll remain, get it right
or come back again…my love

Make it clear
integrate this love and fear
Still hopelessly hopeful
wounded child seeking wonderful

As closed as I am,
born a craftsman of shifting sands
What lies I learned,
lessened my ability to be present

My love,
will never change
Though we’ve ruined everything
The stars still conspire for us
Until our final breaths…

We need more love in the world
We need more hope in the world
Build more joy in the world
we crave more love…

My love,
will never change
Though we’ve ruined everything
The stars still conspire for us
Until our final breaths…
(repeat up to)
the stars… They only constant is c h a n g e

Never forget that the only constant is change. All you can do is be the best person that you can and express true love for all things. Let go of the bullshit and embrace a stranger. Breathe more, live more and express yourself. Be present and thoughtful because this moment you’ll never get back.
