Remember when @daringfireball was about Apple and tech?
The occasional political commentary was OK but this is just too much.
I love @gruber’s take on most about anything, but I came for the tech commentary and it’s almost absent of it at this point. pic.twitter.com/dHWnS0mxBT
I don’t follow political news. I refuse to and instead I read long monthly editorials about the world. There is too much news to consume and I choose to not read anything happening today. Judge all you want but I don’t have 24 hours a day to read the news like the rest of you.
I specifically went to Twitter’s @DaringFireball replies to see if anyone else feels like I do. Again, I’m not liberal or conservative. I’m dead-center so I was not looking for anything pro-trump or anti-liberal here but it took very little time to find this. I agree. Over 85% of Daring Fireball in the last 30 days has been non-technology. John as editor in chief can do what he wants but I hope he’s not too surprised when less people read the blog. There are millions of places to read politics news but very few technology columnists with honesty, brevity and insight. I only subscribe to 18 RSS feeds about technology and John’s is one. I’m kindly putting it out there that I’m hoping he can leave the politics out.
