How many people are only running iOS in its purest form without any local applications created by companies that aren’t Apple? I’m down to 5 non-Apple applications. I think I’m going to take the plunge to eliminate all 3rd party applications from my iPhone.
Why?
Big-data exists because of us. We’re contributing to this massive data movement and it’s because our apps are phoning home thousands of times a day with our data and that data is sold, stolen, breached and abused. I’m sick of giving up my personal liberties for the convenience of having an app that tells me where the nearest coffee shop is. How long can I run my iPhone purely with Apple only applications and the rest being web-apps?
