The result? I ran out of things to do before I ever ran out of RAM. I only ever made it to 14.5GB before the system decided to start paging out, so I didn’t even have the change to burn up all that delicious RAM.

Dude, BS. I fully believe you opened up all of these applications but I’d recommend keeping 1/3 of those open for an hour and work normally then check Activity Monitor for how many Page In/ Outs were occurring and how large your swap file is.

Also, were both VMs set with the recommended RAM size that Microsoft recommends? Launching Safari only uses 200 megabytes of RAM but after an hour, it’s uses 2 gigabytes easily.
