The Apple of today seems to be firmly in the last camp. It’s clearly a company that’s willing to drop its initial notions of how people are going to use its technology. In the past few years, Apple has been able to discard some of its suppositions about utilitarian and low-priority features once they’re embraced by the masses.
The masses don’t know how to digitally communicate. Putting a sticker on your face is better than just writing things out. These tools are a regression.
