Sierra 30th, it was the series of beers that actually got me to start rating beers. When I saw 35th anniversary at Sierra Nevada in NC, I had to buy a bottle. Very exciting.

A – It’s a little hazy, reddish brown. 1 finger, yellowish tan head with a little lacing.

S – The aroma is nice. It has a loaded pale ale aroma, celebration is really present. juiciness with a bit of west coast pale ale. A little bit of oak.

T – ooh yeah. totally getting the fresh hop tastes of this. really good. really good overall. a light bitterness with an overly oaked smokey maple syrup flavor with birch wood and even a bit of cedar. I’m enjoying the overall flavor here. just nice.

M – Finish is bitter, thick, lingering

O – This is nice. classic Sierra nevada. I think it was brave to throw in the pale ale aspect but drink it fresh!
