The little Catahoula Hound, Porter is growing up. Heather and I have had a long 6-weeks of caring for and training him but he’s finally finding a routine with us. He’s been to the vet twice for routine things, he eats his heart worm meds no problem, rarely has any indoor accidents and potty-training wasn’t really necessary as long as we remain aware enough that he wants to go outside. He hasn’t been picky with food at all, training is okay as he’s pretty stubborn.
One thing though is that he’s getting big fast. He’s over 20 pounds now and still is a lap-dog (for now). I think he’ll be 4 months old soon and he’s doing weekly visits to daycare to be social with other dogs and he spends a lot of time with strangers. I’m just impressed with how big he’s gotten.
Most important, he now sleeps through the night and no more of these 5AM wake-ups to go outside.
This was taken on day-one.
