Heather and I are merging our households and I helped her purchase a surround sound projection system last year. She purchased an Ikea Bookshelf that will act as a room-divider for the space entering our bedroom but also a storage for our books, movies, games and various collectible glassware I’ve accrued in my travels.
- Bookshelf – KALLAX Shelving unit, black-brown
- Projector – Optoma HD141X 1080p 3D DLP Home Theater Projector
The projector fits fine in one of the cubbies but the issue is, the HDMI and Power cables wouldn’t clear the space so I picked up these:
- Cable Matters 270 Degree HDMI Male to Female Adapter
- Cablelera 10’ North American Power Cord, NEMA 5-15P and IEC-60320-C13 Right Angle, Black (ZADA15PC-10)
This enabled me to plug in the HDMI and Power Adapter at a right-angle to the projector so I don’t have to bend the cables to clear the small gap. Not sure how many others this will help but it certainly helped us.
