Linked: New TomTom Go for iPhone (iOS)

I’ve been beta testing this app for a while. We did some really amazing things here, best of all is the update size is measured in hundreds of megabytes instead of gigabytes. Customers download the map they want inside of the app for the countries they’ll be driving. The really wonderful TomTom navigation UI and benefits of offline maps are still present. The app is also now following a freemium model so you can download and try the app for free and only after you’ve used up your monthly free miles will TomTom ask you to purchase an upgrade. You get mile credits each month automatically so if you want to only use the app once a week, you may never have to spend a dime.

If you’re an existing TomTom iOS user, there are some perks so I’d recommend having the existing application installed when you launch te new TomTom Go app.

Note, I’m not asked by TomTom write about our new app nor is this a full press release. For the official announcement, visit TomTom’s website and then go to the App Store to download!
