River Roost just opened last Wednesday February 3rd, 2016. It’s the first new brewery in our area since Seven Barrel opened 25 years ago. Locally, we have Flying Goose, Harpoon and Seven Barrel. All of the are brew-pubs and all of them aren’t making the kind of beer I want to drink every day.
I dropped by on opening day to taste the 3 current beers on tap and they were pretty damn good! Miller’s Daughter, a hoppy golden oat ale was my favorite and I returned on Friday to fill a growler at $10 for 64 ounces, it’s a great deal!
I look forward to continuing to patronize this latest brewery and they’re off to a great start. I just hope locals embrace the brewery and River Roost is around for many years go come!
