“[Encryption]…it’s not a technical issue…there are plenty of companies today that provide secure services to their customers and still comply to court orders. There are plenty of folks who make good phones and are able to unlock them in response to your orders. In fact the makers of phones today that can’t be unlocked, a year ago they could be unlocked.”
and
“The government doesn’t want a back door”
and
“It is a business model question. Lots of businesses have designed their devices so that judges orders cannot be complied with.”
There are always great reasons why a change should happen. My concern comes down to over-use of a change to how much data the government can access off my personal phone especially with all messages going between Google, Apple and my Cell Phone carrier. Without safeguards, nothing I say is mine or private.
This is going to become a huge issue in 2016. I don’t foresee the FBI letting up on this topic.
