375ML, picked up a few weeks ago. Split 3 ways
A – Pours a dark brown with some red edges. a 4-finger bottle conditioned pretty off-white to brown head with some nice sticky lacing.
S – The nose is good. Certainly, a brown ale but it’s stout very intense, good aroma, decent overall. has an oaky aroma with belgian yeast.
T – I crap you not, this is a De Dolle Herbier. totally a low-ABV brown ale with oak and a little funk. This has a lot of depth. At the base, yeah a brown-ale. but with so much more going on.
M – mOuthfeel is perfect. Has a lot of good carbonation from the bottle conditioning
O – so…a brown ale. I like it. I like it very much like I like the De Dolle beers. If Shaun made this a 375ML $5 beer, I’d grab 6 of them to have every few months and see how it ages. Really good try though and really nice.
