★ Review: Hill Farmstead / Jackie O’s Elaborative #3

Hill Farmstead Elaborative 3
Overall 3.9/5
AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

AdamChandler (4004) – Enfield, New Hampshire, USA – JAN 1, 2016

Bottle picked up last week, split 3 ways at cellar temperature.

A – This is pitch black, 1 finger head with some larger off-white bubbles.

S – Aroma is straight up 100% Whiskey. Sweet, vanilla, coconut and a bit of chocolate.

T – A lot of sweetness up front. Finish is thin. A lot of whiskey i mean you basically taste a lot of whiskey. Chocolate, like dry un-sweetened baker’s chocolate. There is so much flavor here though but a lot of syrup, sugar, chocolate fudge and whiskey. Oaky smoked tannin stave taste does linger

M – Quite thin, with a little creaminess at the middle with the end being a slick oily, velvety mouthfeel.

O – I am not an over the top huge fan of this right now. i LOVE imperial stouts though so of course it is a default 3.5 and then throw in the Whiskey and chocolate and BOOM. I do like this a lot but I bet in a year, some special stuff is gonna happen.
