Hello. This is my ninth Cafe – Roaster review here on /r/Coffee.[1] Thank you all for not down voting these so far.

Burlington VT is a college town with a beatnik vibe. There are 3 cafes I’ve visited. The first being Muddy Waters which the low-quality coffee was overshadowed by a fantastic work environment with comfy chairs and the second being Uncommon Grounds who had a nice roast quality but overall weak preparation of their drinks at least to my taste.
Maglianero is the #1 Yelp Rated Coffee shop in Burlington, it’s not downtown which is a plus and is located inside of an art gallery. Space is limited and seating is in the gallery portion of the building. Maglianero uses Counter Culture Coffee and they do not use a consistent “espresso roast” for espresso and instead opt to rotate the ever-changing Single Origin Counter Culture beans for espresso shots. Anyone that pulls shots normally knows changing beans often presents challenges to baristas but the patron benefits by a nice variety of flavors and textures over time.
Overall:
I was the last person to stop in Saturday at 5:40PM as they close at 6PM. I apologized to Kevin who was the sole person there. We talked coffee and he was really fantastic. Great buy, insanely knowledgeable about coffee and he even reads this sub-reddit (hi Kevin!).
They offer Pour-Over, Aeropress, Tea, pastries, Espresso drink, drip coffee and cold brew coffee.
With rumors of an additional location, I’ll be watching this place closely. It’s a must-stop for a coffee lover in Burlington.
Espresso:
First taste, acid bomb but then after it sat for 30 seconds, the sweetness and thick texture presented itself and I was left with a really enjoyable shot. They only pour double-shots here which more shops should do simply due to ease for baristas and espresso quality. I loved this and would make it a daily cup if I was local. 8/10
Pour-Over, Counter Culture Nkurubuye, Rwanda[4] :
Kevin had some detailed written notes set aside for this one and while I didn’t watch his technique carefully, the cup was done in 3 minutes roughly and was a 12oz pour. Good good overall body, none of the thin tea-like flavors that 3rd wave shops are doing now and no sediment which was a huge plus. Flavor was fantastic. 9/10
Pastries:
I did not do pastries on this visit since we had just had dinner but they offered a few things and it looked like a nice place to walk past on your way to work and get a pastry + espresso.
