75CL Growler, Filled yesterday and enjoyed just above fridge temp.

A – This is very cloudy, dark orange, a little murky and only a small head.

S – Aroma, I don’t get a lot of barrel, maybe a slight charred oak and vanilla aroma. It has a mature grapefruit bomb sort of essence with more tropical fruits that are slightly faded.

T – This is insanely bitter….IBU is off the chain which, for Ephraim base is to be expected. There’s a lot of citrus here…but like a faded citrus. a little vanilla, a little bit of sweetness, quite a bit of barrel character but not what I’d say distinctly bourbon. This is really interesting but also a challenge to rate.

M – Dense, thick, carbonation is tight and well integrated into the beer.

O – Lingering pine cone and grapefruit skin long after swallowing. This was good but so very unique and I’m glad I split the growler a few ways. Maybe BA Imperial IPAs aren’t my thing.
