My Car: GoFastBits DV+ T9359, for MK7 Golf R

What does it do? “The end result is sharper throttle response, lightning-fast valve actuation, and it will hold as much boost as you can throw at it.”

The DAP video on it is what I followed to the T and I had zero issues with installing aside from a few missing screws.

I must say that you should expect to have a tough time unscrewing the stock DV from the engine and of course screwing this one back in. Removing the air intake hose is essential. This thing works great though. First impressions, boost holds WAY longer. It makes the car very sporty and throttle response on moving that boost needle is quick. Try to find one used. I bought this from CuperSteve for $210. Another guy on the MK7 GTI forum I think is selling his for $150

You can buy this new via GoFastBits’ site.

Overall, I’m pretty darn happy with this one. It certainly has a great sound, improved throttle response and it certainly does hold the boost longer. It’s much stronger than the OEM DV and as I am planning on adding an average of 10PSI of boost very soon, it’s good to have this to hold up to the additional stress the engine will be receiving.

Installation probably takes 30 minutes if you’ve done this before but it took me 2 hours because I had to run to the store and get replacement screws which added about half an hour. The rest of the time was getting to the actual screws which took a lot of focus and a very long wrench extension. If you don’t know to look for it, you really don’t know it’s there.

Basically, you screw the assembled DV+ into the hold pictured below next to the intake. Pretty simple.
