375ML Bottle purchased at Hill Farmstead. Thanks Heather for sharing your bottle with me. Enjoyed @ Fridge temp and allowed to warm in 2 stemmed HF Glasses
A – Pitch black, oily and dense with a 1 finger espresso head that faded quickly.
S – Smells tart, grape must, lemon, funk, leather and ropey. I smells some of the base components. Charcoal, cocoa, fudge.
T – Good actually. You get a lot of dark porters, roasted espresso, chocolate, with some light balsamic, orange peel, lime and funk.
M – decent mouthfeel. not explosive on the carb, finish is light with a lingering hop bitterness, cheese and cocoa
O – I like this a lot more than I expected. The description reads to me “a bunch of our porters and a brown ale in a wine barrel with wild yeast” but honestly this came together really nice. I’d drink this one fresh and not hold on to it. It’s perfect now.
