Ahead of my upcoming trip to Reims, France, I opened this bottle up last week aside the still-frozen lake up here in New Hampshire. While this wasn’t my favorite Champagne to date, Krug knows their stuff and sadly, prices their wines appropriately. I got more flavors out of this than any other champagne ever. toffee, pears, baked apples, earthy mulch but yet the grapes still really shine. I’d love to have this again despite the price tag but maybe in France, I can find a few bottles for cheaper and bring them back to enjoy on special occasions with friends.
Grab this one if you dare but I still prefer Dom P for the price range.
