★ Review: Dunham Assemblage 1 & 2

Dunham Assemblage no.1

 Assemblage #1

3.5

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 15/20

I bought this bottle and in Quebec City (I think) about a month ago.

A – Slightly cloudy, golden yellow. Could be incredibly beautiful after sitting for a few months.

S – Aroma is very peppery. Honey, clove and even some ginger. Oak presence is slow and a little sour grape.

T – Interesting taste. Lots of belgian yeast, oaky, strange, sort of tannic, high in bitterness. wheat, grain, bread dough. strange.

M – Explosive mouthfeel. chalky finish

O – This was very interesting. Not sure if I’d revisit…maybe with more age?

   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20

Picked up this bottle in Quebec.

A – hazy dark orange. 2 finger off-white head.

S – This smells awesome! so funky tons of ropey brett, citrus and floral like jasmine and rose.

T – Lots of barrel, oak, funk, rubbing alcohol, grape skins, a very high bitterness.

M – good mouthfeel, dense, thick, dry.

O – Great beer but the boozy rubbing alcohol is a negative. other than that, the funk is nice!
