Victory at Sea special edition without vanilla.
AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A – Pours Pitch black, 3 finger fluffy coffee and espresso colored head.
S – There is a lot of espresso / cold press coffee in this. It smells fantastic. Chocolate milk, something creamy in here, malty and a little boozy. I get a little bit of vanilla.
T – Taste is straight up Porter with a lot of coffee added. I get at the finish, just really lovely coffee bean. acidic as hell but no surpsie there. Great backbone, baker’s chocolate, maybe a little bit of herb but this is a great porter with just straight up coffee
M – Dense mouthfeel, great lingering lines on the glass.
O – This was a great beer to try and with out the vanilla really was a great experience.
