This ultra “limited summer edition” doesn’t come out for a few more weeks but someone didn’t get the InBev memo @ my local gas station. First review on RateBeer. woot! I’m sure we’re all stoked to see what I thought about this one. Before you read on, I should note that I actually really like the Bud Light Rita series. I think I gave mango a 4/5
3.6
A – Pours a 2 finger solid white fizzy head that fades fast. Looks like lemonade in the glass. cloudy light yellow, white and very lemonjuice-like.
S – Nose is a sweet state fair lemonade affair with a little bit of plastic, maybe that’s just the ethanol speaking to me.
T – Pretty much as straight up clone of Minute Maid Lemonade with a boozy middle and finish. The lingering finish is a honeydew melon and strawberry. Not as sour as I would hope for lemon. still getting that plastic taste. Sweetness is nice. I can certainly chug this on a hot day.
M – Decent mouthfeel, a bit oily.
O – Yeah, this is not my favorite in the rita category but certainly better than mango.
Love these shelf beer reviews. Keep ’em coming!
Haha. I remember looking at the post after it was posted (I schedule things in advance) and laughing because I honestly think the photo here look better than the marketing photos put out by InBev.
I just ordered a light-box soon so make things look even better and I’m a fan of the ‘rita’ series. For what they are (boozy juice) they’re not bad.
Thank you.
