An ice fishing derby took place 10 miles from my house at Lake Fairlee. Families from all over were setting up at midnight and each person could have up to 8 traps set. Judging was done by fish length around 3PM. I got to hang out with a few experts and take part in the activities. It was great weather, around 25 degrees with a bright sun coming down.
This was also the first time I’ve ever stood on a frozen lake or driven on one. I had a lot of fun driving my VW Golf on the snow & ice. I still can’t believe the car didn’t fall into the water. I took a few iPhone photos to share here.
