This is the 2011 Bottling. Interesting 2011 is an 18/20 blend and the 2012 is full 20 years. Should have done these side by side but oh well.A – Pours pitch black. Not thick but certainly very dark in the glass. a tiny nitro looking head forms and fades fast.

S – Lots of raisin, fig, and chocolate notes. Sadly a bit of soy sauce as well.

T – Taste is nice. Still yes, lots of soy sauce but there’s a nice hot chocolate with marshmallow taste, dark fruits, nice vanilla presence and a whole ton of oak just oaky from start to finish. I get a minor coconut as well.

M – Oily and thin.

O – Not a bad beer. Probably should have opened this up a year ago. Still very good.
