This was one of my favorite Tired Hands beers ever. Really clean, interesting profile and I was thirsty for more. It’s a shame the TH bottle releases are so tiny as in usually 1 barrel worth and sell out quickly. I’ll just keep relying on people sending me these as extras and not seeking them out.

S – Nose is pretty interesting. Obviously sour fruits dominate. Lots of oak. Biscuit and cinnamon notes and vanilla bean. Acidity that levels on fresh espresso.
T – The whiskey comes through very strong in taste. This is quite nice! It’s sweet, dry and cloying all at once. Lovely tart blackberry / cherry mix. The whiskey is solid leaving behind wood, vanilla and cereal. The fruit & whiskey is blended in no way I’ve ever had before. Really solid beer.
M – Silky smooth with coffee & berry acidity throughout. Slick almost and not overpowering.
O – Low ratings so far makes me think this one isn’t a large bottling run but I’m glad to have tried it.
I think Guillemot Nebula was actually the largest bottle release so far (800+ bottles). The Prunus was one of the smallest (150 or so bottles, though it was on the same day as the Nebula release). Most releases tend to be somewhere inbetween, though a few have been tiny (Praise Bee was, like, 35 bottles).
Thanks for the info. I honestly don’t know much about jean’s bottle releases. Hand Farm is one of my favorite beers from TH though and this was pretty eye opening.
Jean personally waxed it ridiculous like that for the guy who sent it to me. Both bottles came all messed up like that, I think it looks great!
