Bomber, 2012 Vintage released October so this is just over a year old in the glass, and almost 2 years old from brew date. Enjoyed in a 20ounce stemmed glass at 55F
A – Pours an oaky bronze color out of the bottle. Murky brown to black in the glass.
S – Sweet, toffee like, cotton candy and whiskey booziness. Smells quite boozy.
T – Very similar to Firestone Walker Sucaba but much sweeter and much less balance. Lots of caramel, hints of coconut and licorice with cheap candy sweetness and bakers chocolate. A hint of Aunt Jemima syrup and some charred oak but not a lot. Just a bit of figs and cloves.
M – Completely flat, toffee sticky mouth feel on the swish
O – I probably won’t finish the bottle. It’s good but much too sweet for me.
