Picked this up a few weeks back at HFS, $15 per bottle I think, 4 per person.
A – Nearly black pour. Very sticky, creamy head of 1finger. Sticks to the side of the glass very well. Half a finger is pretty persistent.
S – Smells like toffee and cocoa. I get marshmallow fluff, pistachios and creamy licorice. There’s a very sweet almost caramel and coconut bourbon. Smells almost identical to blanton’s
T – Lovely taste. I get rye, very refined sweet finish. There’s a husky wheat taste with toffee and caramel with minimal bourbon booze. Tastes around 12-13% ABV.
M – The mouthfeel is this oily sweet not too boozy stout with a mineral sparkling water bubbly finish that is slightly chalky and warming
O – Great stout, not as great as Damon but a really nice blend that I hope improves over time.
