Thanks LeightonA – Very dark brown / amber ale with a finger head that fades fast. Decent lacing.
S – Loads of raisins on the nose with a hint of caramel and vanilla
T – taste is boozy but not as much as I expected with a nice fig / raisin presence. Rum of course comes through adding more sweetness. some “jelly donut” characters with a caramel and raisin finish
M – Medium body, hard to form much carbonation on the mouth swish.
O – I could drink the entire 12oz to myself but I’d prefer not to. Very sweet, needs to mellow with age? or maybe this is just a very sweet beer and should be split with a friend.
