I got this guy setup over the weekend. Ordered it from Midwest supplies. After my failed BIAB experiment, I decided to give this a go and was very happy with the results. It made brew day a lot less stressful. Will post more about the upcoming batch of beers being brewed once I find time to edit the post written yesterday.

Hey Adam,
I’m a long time lurker on your blog. You are going through the exact same “beer initiation” that I went through when I first dove head-first into craft beer. I have been homebrewing for 5+ years now, so if you ever have any questions, I will do my best to try to help. For starters, I would recommend having a tube going from the spigot of your mash tun into the bottom of your boil kettle, so you don’t risk hot side aeration on your bigger beers that you plan on cellaring. Anyway, I hope all goes well in your brewing endeavors! I tried to follow you on Twitter, but apparently your profile is blocked pretty well. In any event, I wish you all the best as your continue to grow your brewing skills.

HI Clint. Thanks for the info. I imagine, I’ll have to get one of those tubes that are heat tested up to at least the temp of the wort?
I was going to do a sparge arm but some said they don’t quite work well if you go on the cheaper side.
It’s @AdamJackson on Twitter. Weird that it didn’t allow you. What’s your username?
I can’t provide much guidance on a sparge arm, because I batch sparge using a 70qt. Coleman Cooler w/ a stainless steel braid. I think a sparge arm is that necessary at this point, but I could be wrong.
My Twitter handle is Moose_Lang.
Good point. That’s what I’ve heard as well. I’m batch sparging currently.
