Review Eight Hundred! Received this in a trade from Dak. Enjoyed at 60 Degrees F in a wine glass.A – Poured a raisin dark brown. 1 finger reddish brown head produced but faded instantly. It’s a very low carbonation, still beer.

S – I get a red balsamic vinegar up front. This is followed by cherries and cranberry juice.

T – Loads of bitter tannins up front. The back of my throat sort of chokes on the amount of acetic acids in this beer. It makes me choke because, while tasting, I’m trying to move the beer around on my tongue and the acidity is way too much. At the finish, I get oak, cherries and more red wine notes.

M – Light body, light carbonation. Not a lot going on with mouth feel and I can’t pick up the rum, bourbon or chardonnay at all.

O – This is the most vinegar heavy flanders red I’ve ever had. It’s disappointingly high acid profile on par with drinking balsamic vinegar it’s just too much. A bummer and nothing like any other flanders I’ve had.
