$13.79 at Lebanon Co-Op. 750ML Bottle #44. Enjoyed in a tulip at 60 Degrees F.A – Pours like a slightly less carbonated shashed pumpkin. Slight more red and brown hues than the original so you get this purple reddish brown and orange appearance. 2 Finger head that fades to nothing instantly.

S – I can smell booze and vanilla upon popping the cork. Honestly, first aroma I get is tequila. Smells just like Don Julio Blanco on the nose. Hints of cinnamon, holiday spices. Not much pumpkin at all. Hints of vanilla.

T – Pumpkin is the dominant starting component with a sort of cloves and cinnamon taste that’s sweet and delicate in the middle. The finish is burnt oak, booze and honey with a bit of canned pumpkin puree.

M – Very middle of the road body, lacking a lot of carbonation unless you swish it around vigorously. Hint of alcohol burn in the throat.

O – This is an interesting beer. Smashed Pumpkins is high on my list for the style following Punkin and Pumking. The tequila nose is weird but thankfully that’s not in the taste. For the price, I’m not impressed but will still finish it. It’s not a terrible beer, just not sure if BBA really did anything except for increase the price tag.
