I have a buddy who loves Delirium Tremens. He drinks it at every opportunity. I put together a tasting of all 4 Delirium beers from Brouwerij Huyghe. Here is the review:

I’ve had this MANY times but bought every Delirium I could for my buddy about a year ago and now that he’s visiting, we’re going to drink them together.Enjoyed at 59 Degrees in a snifter. HUUUUUGE cork pop on this one.
A – Poured a bright ultra-clear brown gold color. Super nice looking with a 3 finger crisp fluffy head that faded pretty fast.
S – Quite a yeasty, burnt orange peel scent. Hints of orange and honey with some spices.
T – Sweet up front, peppery spices, tangerines and oranges with a hint of lemon zest. Finish is a malty thick caramel sweetness.
M – 60% carbonation on the mouth swish, medium body. Thin sort of oily ness at the finish
O – It’s a popular beer. It’s drinkable and a 750ML that’s best shared with friends.

Acquired at a beer store in Brussels and shipped back over. Not sure why. Enjoyed in a Delirium Noel Tulip. Pours a murky / brown. 1 finger hint of maroon coloured head. Doesn’t fade. Smells of cough drops and cream soda. Taste is sort of astringent mouth wash, hint of booziness with some cherry flavored fruit roll ups.

What I learned most importantly that NONE of these beers improve with age. They all fall off within the year. The Delirium Red was terrible and Nocturnum remains to be one of my favorites but Noel was pretty good. These are all standard shelf beers and the marketing makes the elephant very popular but they’re pretty standard beers and not ones that I seek out.
