I wrote a couple of weeks ago about what’s coming up and how my pipeline was empty aside from some beers that were kegged a month prior. I immediately starting researching and tweaking some recipes and ordered more grain. Grain Mill constraints at Midwest Supplies kept me from getting my grain for almost 2 weeks. They were great and did priority shipping once my order was ready. So, after tomorrow, I’ll have a full fermenting pipeline.
On the far left is my second all-grain batch of beer, a hefeweizen that I’ll ferment with raspberries. Second is my honey porter followed by an Imperial Stout that will get an addition of coffee when I keg it and finally, my berliner weisse that will see an addition of Rhubarb and Strawberries once that completes fermentation in about 3 months. Today, I’m brewing an all-grain Double IPA with Citra. It’s a recipe I’ve done before but extract only. We’ll see how this measures up.
My currently kegged saison and imperial IPA are both about half full now so there’s some wiggle room before I’m “out of beer” at least as far as home-brew is concerned. The goal for me is that those 2 kegs kick as all 4 of my currently fermenting beers are ready and then I can keg in about 3 weeks and then brew 4 more batches of beer. When I have 4 full kegs and 4 full fermenters (not counting the Berliner Weisse), I’ll be a happy man.
Looks good man! How many tap lines you have at your place? Btw, we should trade some homebrew at some point.
I’ve got fermenting:
Double IPA x2 (one batch on WY1056 & one batch on WY1968) w/ Chinook, Crystal, & Pacific Gem hops
English Barleywine
Pumpkin Ale
Dry-hopped Hard Cider
& up next brewing a low abv. Southern English Brown
Let me know if your interested in a trade buddy
(trade for the cider)
Dry hopped cider? I have no idea …..
Brave of you to have those fermenting on such a nice carpet!
Agreed. It went fine though. Started with a blow-off tube and then things are churning along nicely right now.
