adamjackson (248) – Canaan, USA – MAY 5, 2012

Received as an extra in a trade. Stoked to try this! Poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass. 2012 Vintage. No bottling date.

A – SRM of 25, amber brown appearance. Lots of clouds / haze in this glass. Just a minor head. Very little head. minor bit of alcohol legs.

S – Not the hop profile I was expecting. Very mild Centennial and maybe Amarillo hops. Great citrus and pine explosion. Bit of honey / sugary sweet malts. Minor grassiness or fresh cut lawn scent.

T – Wow. Okay, not much aromatic hops but huge hop explosion all over the place. Bitterness is so high that there’s almost a sweetness to it like kiwi or mango juice. Of course, nice floral and citrus taste, There’s a bit of lemon zest and slight lemonheads sourness but it’s barely there.

M – 90/10 carbonation on mouth swish. Heavy bodied, lingering grapefruit juice taste

O – Wow. This is fantastic. It’s not the best DIPA i’ve ever had but very very delicious.
