Picked this up at the local Co-Op. Botled on January 19th of this year. Stuck it in the fridge and poured into an Ommegang glass on a beautiful wam Sunday in Vermont. Stoked to have this as I drink coffee from Vermont coffee company almost daily.

A – Brown to almost black appearance. In the glass, midnight black, on the pour, a very dark brown. 3-Finger bold coffee coloured head with a beautiful creamy top.

S – Big roasted malts, chocolate malts and a bit of oakiness but all of that is dominate by glorious black coffee with a hint of sugar. Very malty not much booziness on the nose.

T – Oh boy. It has that classic taste you get from Founder’s Breakfast Stout but it’s a little bit sweeter. Big malts, big coffee and big sweetness on the finish.

M – There’s a bit of tongue tingle on the mouth swish. 50/50 carbonation, medium body, very earthy almost root-like finish.

O – It’s not the best coffee stout I’ve had but it’s certainly tasty and very drinkable. I’m going to buy 2 more and do a 6 and 12 month taste of these to see how the coffee fades and how fast.
