Picked this up at the local Co-Op. I’ve heard mixed reviews. Put it in the fridge for a few days and poured into an Ommegang glass.
A – 2-Finger crystal white head. Great creamy look with lacing. I’m drinking so many saisons lately that this “light gold” description is getting pretty old but that’s pretty much it. Light gold.
S – Lots of spicy peppers, grapefruit and tangerines.
T – Champagne yeast, lots of spice, funky and wild fermentation taste and honey and birch wood.
M – 20/80 carbonation on mouth swish. Dry finish.
O – Decent. I’s not a great Saison but it’s pretty good. I’m just spoiled by Hill Farmstead.
