★ Photo Post – Spring Arrives in New England 2011

I’ve had the joy of spending an entire month in New England without any travel. It has been great as this is the month that snow melts and rain starts and the season where the grass turns green and birds hang out by my bird feeder and stand by the river bank. It’s a time of rebirth as the farmer’s markets show up each week at our town square and sell local veggies and beef. It’s a great time and I’m happy that I wasn’t out of town to see the transformation. Two weeks ago, I’d run from the car to my house and crank up the heat each day after work. Last night, I slept with all of my windows and doors wide open with the sound of birds and the river flowing in the backyard.

I was home for January but it was snowy and all I could do was stay indoors or suit up and go snowboarding. October – December and February – march were travel months so I didn’t get the winter blues. I was gone too much in warmer weather to even notice. I have a few photos.

I also wanted to share that I bought a car. I’m lucky that the car I paid $1000 for after arriving in New Hampshire in September was intended to survive the winter. On the day our snow melted, I picked this up. A 2010 Corolla S: (better photos coming soon. These were just some playing around shots)

Here’s to a spring in New England and the summer months coming soon. I have a lot of fun things planned.
