These photo posts are really awesome! I posted 156 photos while in Las Vegas last week for Blogworld. That’s only ONE short of the number of Vegas photos posted when I went on my road trip in May of 2009. There’s a really cool FriendFeed page where you can see tweets, location, photos and blog posts from when Laura and I went on that road trip here. At Blogworld 2009 in Las Vegas, I posted 141 photos and only this one was good.
What’s so AWESOME about doing photo posts or looking back (seriously, click on the links above) is that I can see year after year of how different my photos have become! Sure, I’m doing more post-processing which most people hate but the angles, composition and quality of my photos (zoom in on those bad boys) is improving. My hardware hasn’t really improved. I’m still using a compact camera that can fit in my front or back pocket but I’m doing more work with tripods and manual controls.
Before I go into the blog post, I’d like to show one thing off. While reviewing my past photos, I found a shot that was taken nearly 1.5 years ago at the same spot on the strip. I re-took that photo purely by coincidence on last Wednesday and uploaded it. The spot is standing on the strip in front of Fashion Show Mall on the west side and you can see the top of Trump Hotel. This time, I framed the hotel and boosted the color in post process. Before & After. This makes me happy. Same shot years later. Improvements.
Well, without further ado, here’s the full set of photos and below are my favorites. (you may have to click through). Note, you can click on any of these to view a larger size.

I took over 500 photos this trip with the Canon S95. These were my favorites. Sorry for all of the self-portraits at the end but my friend, Ken Yeung did an awesome job and I wanted to show off a few. I love photographing architecture and objects but my Mom always says, “why don’t you post any pix of yourself?” so there you go Mom. Enjoy!
I love your photos (processed or not) they are great! I’ve always told you that “i live vicariously through you (and your pictures)”
