Acquired in a trade a while back. One of my lowest ABV stouts in the cellar so I figured a 750 by myself isn\u2019t too bad. Enjoyed at 60F in my HFS glass.A – Poured a midnight viscous black. a 1 finger coffee head was produced and faded to just a thin line of creamy bubbles.<\/p>\n

S – The nose is pretty weak. I get some hints of vanilla and smoke. There\u2019s a slight bourbon character but mostly, it smells more like a porter than a stout. Very weak nose.<\/p>\n

T – Up front, roasted dark malts, chocolate and booze. The middle is a thick oak and bourbon rush. Finish is all coffee with hints of licorice and pepper.<\/p>\n

M – Heavy body but light carbonation. Sort of creamy like frothed milk.<\/p>\n

O – Maybe this beer has started to fall off? Hard to tell. It\u2019s great. Not nearly a year old yet but it just doesn\u2019t have that oomph I expected.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
