Nobody can shut this site down, run annoying ads on it, or sell it to a phone company. Nobody can tell me what I can or can\u2019t say, and I have complete control over the way it\u2019s displayed. Nobody except me can change the URL structure, breaking 14 years of links to content on the web.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well said. I\u2019ve been blogging in some form since 1999. it\u2019s amazing that I\u2019m soon at my 20th anniversary of blogging and while my blog posts from 1999-2004 only exist in zip files that I keep backed up, I have content going back to when I was a teenager. Most of it is useless to post to the web this far removed but there are experiences I\u2019m happy to have written down.
